The idea behind this was, you are most vulnerable when you are asleep and you are unaware of the world around you.
The items are symbols:
Birds or 'flight' : represent freedom in the dream
Mirror: One can see the inner most part of themselves within the dream, the part they keep hidden from the world.
Cracks in the Mirror: In your dreams, you are ageless. Cracks represent age.
Clock: Timeless. There is not time in dreams.
Spider web: Also age and getting tangled within your subconscious.
Swirls: are supposed to be vines. The ones that can trap you in their grip, you are ultimately trapped within your desires of your dream.
Water: The abyss, the unknown. You never know where your dream leads you and you are unknown of reality.
Female: 'Innocence' and 'vulnerability' . The female is usually more vulnerable than the male. Once one is asleep, they let down their barriers and are vulnerable to anything.
Done in markers, white colored pencil, and gray chalk pastel.
